This is my very first mystery song. Every since I started my blog on origins of songs this is the first one I haven't been able to find anything about. I only know these lyrics from memory as I first learned it from family in my childhood. I would love anyone's help on who wrote it, sung it, or any information at all would be helpful in this search. I play a little guitar so I have added a video to give you an idea of how it goes.
Song Lyrics:
Verse I
As you go through lowest valley
and it seems you just can't stand
let my dear Savior take you by the hand.
Let him take you to Calvary's Hill
Where His precious blood was spilled.
And for the precious Price that He Paid.
Chorus:
Oh the price that He paid.
The sacrifice that He made.
He died so you and I could go free.
And He'll never ever change his love will always be the same
And I thank him for the Price that He Paid.
Verse II:
And someday when life is over
and our work on earth is done
I want to see the one who died for me.
I want to see him face to face and thank Him for His saving grace
And for the precious Price that He Paid.
